The game takes place at Dillingham Park on Saturday 24th May 2025 – 3pm KO.

Here’s Anthony Allen:

“We go into the final two games of the season – starting with the trip to Ampthill this Saturday – with the knowledge that around 20 players will be leaving the Club. As such, there is the perfect opportunity – and the will – for this squad to put in performances which will end their time with us on a high. We trained brilliantly against England Students on Tuesday evening and there is very much the feeling amongst us that we want to fire some shots this week and next to show how good a side we are. Our best moments aside from our wins this term have been the game at Butts Park Arena when we ran Coventry very close indeed – and the second quarter against London Scottish at the RAG when we were unplayable.

The Blood & Sand will be without Billy Walker, Louis Grimoldby, Ruaridh Dawson, Iestyn Rees, Jared Cardew and Joey Green. With no loan players available this weekend they’ll be mostly relying on the squad that faced Bedford last week, with home grown youngsters Preston Macfarlane and Mark Miska-Alavrez in line for their second Championship outings. Army skipper Matt Dawson returns from Services rugby duty.

“Our attack has been very good for the most part since Christmas and we want to finish off more of the opportunities we make during games and build up some momentum for the Club ahead of the summer rebuild. We had some good moments last week against Bedford Blues – we want as near to an 80 minute performance as possible this weekend and next. In terms of league position we may only be playing for pride, but the boys want to show their best in these final outings. And of course we’ll be looking to back up our win against Ampthill at Ellgia Fields back in December”.
