We have a number of former Cornish Pirates in our ranks, including forwards coach Will Britton – we caught up with some of them this week ahead of Saturday’s trip to the Mennaye Field.

Royal Navy Leading Hand Chris Mills summed up the challenge ahead this weekend, saying “In the winter, the pitch gets pretty loose, pretty boggy. They’ve had a lot of rain this week, and the crowd’s always up for it – they’re proud and passionate and we can’t wait for that. We’ll need our ’21s’ in on Saturday against the weather!  We’ll front up and make amends for last weekend. We’re making sure we prepare for everything they’ll bring to the contest”

England U20s winger Eparama Rokodrava says “They’re always a physical side – we’re ready for that. They’ll be looking to play off scraps and their aerial game is very good. It’s a big challenge but we’re looking forward to it very much indeed”.

New Zealander Dylan Irvine reveals, “I had a great time down there, my first experience in England – the beach in the summer is great! The crowd’s excellent. It’s a great place to play. We’ve got to bring the best version of ourselves to get the result, the takeaways, we want”.
