Cambridge Rugby is pleased to announce an exciting expansion of its commercial operation, with the Club set to recruit a number of new roles as part of a new-look commercial team.
The investment reflects the Club’s continued ambition to strengthen its commercial offering, grow sustainable revenue streams and enhance the experience we provide to our partners, members, supporters and the wider Cambridge community.
Over the coming days, Cambridge Rugby will begin recruitment for:
- Commercial Manager
- Commercial Executive – Events & Hospitality
- Commercial Executive – Marketing & Communications
- Chef (part time and full time opportunities)
The new structure has been designed to provide greater capacity and expertise across the Club. The Commercial Manager will lead the commercial strategy, sponsorship and business development, while the Commercial Executives will take operational ownership of events, hospitality, marketing and communications. We are also supporting our rugby programmes, events and hospitality with the appointment of club Chef.
As part of this transition, Commercial Director Louis Mann will leave the Club before Christmas to take up a new opportunity with Ampthill Rugby Club.
We would like to place on record our sincere thanks to Louis for everything he has contributed during his time at Cambridge Rugby. He has worked incredibly hard to establish strong commercial foundations, develop valuable partnerships and help move the Club forward. We wish him every success in his new role at Ampthill.
Rather than simply replacing Louis, the Club has taken the opportunity to further expand the commercial department. This new structure will provide additional expertise, greater operational capacity and create a platform for sustained growth over the coming years.
With ambitious plans both on and off the field—including the continued development of our rugby programmes, hospitality offering, events calendar and commercial partnerships—we believe this is the right time to grow the team and build on the excellent work already undertaken.
