Cambridge Rugby Club and waste management and recycling company, Ellgia have agreed a three-year partnership to secure the ground naming rights to Ellgia Fields on Granchester Road.
In addition, Ellgia will manage and operate the waste disposal onsite and provide sustainability advice to the club.
David Chamberlain, Development Director, said;

As the club enters a new era and the challenge of the Championship, Ellgia will be looking to take on the challenge of helping the club achieve its sustainability goals and green credentials as its official waste & recycling partner.
We hope that this new partnership will bring success both on and off the pitch with the ground aptly being renamed ‘Ellgia Fields’ further highlighting the club’s ambition and commitment to a greener more sustainable Cambridge.”

The 1st XV team will run out on the newly named Ellgia Fields pitch for the first time on Saturday 23 September, welcoming Cornish Pirates to Cambridge for the third round of the Premiership Cup.
Tickets for the clash are on sale now and with limited parking also available to purchase, fans are advised to buy now to avoid disappointment.
