Cambridge Rugby is proud to have Rifleman Vereimi Qorowale join our ranks and bring his strength and power to Ellgia Fields this year. He’s joined from Champ Rugby rivals Ampthill. Known as ‘Imi’, Qorowale has vast experience at the highest level with Newcastle Falcons, Doncaster Knights and the British Army – both XVs and 7s – and will add serious power to Cambridge’s attacking options this term – he can play on either flank or in the centre. Imi joined top flight side Falcons from Belfast Harlequins.
Imi is excited at the prospect of being part of the new Cambridge squad: “I am lucky to be moving to such an historic club with a bright future. I’m feeling ready to take on this new challenge – thanks to Cambridge for giving me this opportunity!”
Head Coach Craig Newby is very pleased with his capture: “Big, powerful, fast and the heart of a lion, Imi is an exceptionally talented young man. His ability to beat defenders initially attracted my interest, and his intent to defend aggressively made him a great option for us”.
