Cambridge Rugby is delighted to welcome former Wasps and Nottingham fly half Jamie Annand to Grantchester Road.
Dubai-born Jamie – who is qualified for Scotland – arrives from Champ Rugby rivals the Archers and was educated at Dubai School and Stowe School. The poised number 10 had an excellent performance against Cambridge on Easter Sunday and will be looking to improve on that cameo on a regular basis at Ellgia Fields. An intelligent playmaker with a rocket of a boot, Jamie is another Wasps Academy player and captained Nottingham University’s BUCS Rugby side whilst also playing Champ Rugby at Lady Bay.
Jamie can’t wait to get going at Grantchester Road: “I’m thrilled to be joining Cambridge at such an exciting time for the club. Having met the brilliant people behind the scenes as well as a couple of the players, I can’t wait to get stuck into pre-season with the team and make this Champ campaign one to remember!”
Cambridge Head Coach Craig Newby is excited to have Jamie on board: “Jamie’s a young, skilful, talented fly half with a load of leadership qualities and a good feel for the game. He’s an absolute student of rugby with a really big future. I’m looking forward to working with him on his game and his game management. He’s going to be a big influence on the squad over the coming seasons”.
Don’t miss your chance to see Jamie and our other new signings in Champ Rugby action!
