We travelled to Saffron Walden expecting a 12 v 12 match, due to Saffron Walden struggling for numbers. When we arrived they had cobbled 15 able bodies, so we were back on track. This match really needed us to win by the maximum margin to give us a slim chance of making the play-offs, currently scheduled for 26 March.
The boys were very professional, evasion and bop and pop at its very best. No one took on the super hero role and the ball did all the work, well apart from all the running, rucking, tackling, communicating, passing and handling. These were all in force and it really shows what we are capable of when we stick to the plan.
Well done all for a magical display and you deserve a place in the play-offs. Let us hope the number crunching works in our favour.
Well done to our new recruits as well as our existing players. The new players have made an impact and have been made to feel really welcome but the squad. Thanks to all for this, it is what rugby is all about.
