The game takes place at Ellgia Fields, Grantchester Road,
Cambridge on Saturday 13th December and kicks off at 2pm

Head Coach Craig Newby has made minimal changes again this week on the back of Round 9’s 29-28 loss at Bedford Blues:
“The biggest thing we take from last weekend’s narrow defeat at Bedford is those two bonus points – it sneaks us up level with London Scottish. We’re making progress one/two points at a time. We’ve got 17 games left to go including this weekend – if we average two points a game or more from hereon, we’ll be where we want to be. We could have rolled over last week as Bedford rang the changes off their bench. We took a lot of heart from that. The boys are not just willing to fight for each other, they’re willing to listen and to learn. We can take a lot of confidence from last week – and the way we scored that last try that brought up the bonus points. Our defence last week was amazing and we’re learning how to better manage games.

“One fine day doesn’t make a summer, though – we have to keep learning and improving. Chinnor will provide us with a different challenge this week – so we can’t get carried away with last week’s performance. We’re not going to rest on that, we’re going to look to improve and take those learnings from last week into this week’s game plan. We go back to the drawing board this week – it’s a completely different ballgame. All I want is consistency – we’re starting to get that within games and the challenge now is to do it week on week. We want positivity on and off the field this weekend – we’ll
hopefully get a big crowd, which makes it way more special. “We’ve tried to keep the changes to a minimum this week, to reward those who’ve been playing well and delivering. Eli Caven will make his 50th appearance for Cambridge this weekend. Back row Ed Timpson – in from Major League rugby side Los Angeles – makes his first start. And prop Sam Buckley is on the bench for his debut after also signing from MLR.”
