Dynamic Welsh back row Arthur Thomas is the latest recruit to Craig Newby’s burgeoning Cambridge Rugby squad.
Arthur cut his teeth at the highest level during a spell with Premiership powerhouse Bristol Bears after some impressive and gritty performances at Exeter University earned him higher recognition.
He arrives at Cambridge from Ampthill, where he has spent the last season battling in both the Champ and the Premiership Cup, facing his former club and Gallagher Premiership champions Bath. The towering second row will add an element of aggression and dynamism to the scrum and line-out.
Arthur is looking forward to entering the fray: “I’m incredibly excited to be joining Cambridge Rugby and contributing to such an historic and ambitious team”.
Head Coach Craig Newby concurs, saying “Arthur has the strength of intent and timing to his game. He’s a hard worker who loves the physical side of rugby and he’ll be a huge asset to us in driving our style forward”.
