The game takes place at Kinsey Road on Saturday 31st May 2025 – 3pm KO.
Here’s Anthony Allen:
“We’re looking forward to closing out the season with our trip to Chinnor. It’s our fourth meeting this term – we’ve had two very close and competitive games in the Not The Premiership Cup and both Clubs have definitely suffered this season after being denied the opportunity to take part in the Premiership Cup. We fell short against them on the opening day and have the opportunity to right that wrong this weekend.
The Blood & Sand will be without Joseph Gaffan this weekend after he injured his shoulder at Ampthill. Iestyn Rees returns. Billy Walker, Louis Grimoldby, Ruaridh Dawson, Jared Cardew and Joey Green are all still out. Home grown youngsters Caleb Reeves and Preston Macfarlane keep their places. Army skipper Matt Dawson is back from injury..
“Our Scoring 43 points at Ampthill last Saturday and only getting a try bonus point was galling – we played some exceptional rugby at times and the boys put themselves on the line and left everything out there. We also had the chance to blood another of our 1923 Academy youngsters, Caleb Reeves, who, like Mark Miska-Alvarez and Preston Macfarlane, didn’t look at all out of place at Championship level, a positive indictment of our Academy programme. This Saturday will also see the final appearance in Blood & Sand colours of Club legends George Bretag-Norris, Matt Hema, Ben Brownlie and Joe Tarrant, and the final outing for this current squad of players. We’d like to go out on a win.
