Towering Ireland age grade International prop, Jack Boal, is the latest strong front row reinforcement to Cambridge’s predatory pack.
Known for his abrasive style of play in attack and defence, the former Ulster Academy player arrives at Ellgia Fields via the University of Queensland in Australia. An ex-pupil of Campbell College – where legendary Ireland and British & Irish Lions wing Mike Gibson began his rugby journey – Jack has also played for Queens University – like new second row Jake McCay.
Cambridge Head Coach Craig Newby is looking forward to having Jack on board: “He’s a hard-working prop who loves to carry hard and hit hard in the tackle. He’ll roll his sleeves up time and time again for his team-mates”.
Jack can’t wait to get into battle: “I’m really excited to be joining Cambridge Rugby at such an exciting time for the Club. With the new Champ Rugby format bringing fresh challenges, I’m looking forward to testing myself at this level. I’m eager to make a real impact through my performances and help the team drive forward this season.”
