Talented Leicester Tigers Academy fly half Jack Vernum is the latest recruit to Cambridge Rugby’s army. Having led the Durham University side to a 4th place finish in Bucs Super Rugby last season Jack arrives at Ellgia Fields to provide ammunition for the Cambridge back line. In addition to his time at Tigers, Jack has played for Market Harborough – his junior club – and National League side Leicester Lions.
Head Coach Craig Newby says, “Jack is a multi talented young fly half. Very good passing and kicking stands out, but his ability to direct with his voice is his big asset at such a young age. He comes to us full of energy to develop his game and leadership”.
Jack is excited to join te battle this season: “I’m really excited to have signed for Cambridge and can’t wait to get started with pre-season. It’s clear there’s a strong ambition within the club to be successful and compete next season, and I’m looking forward to being part of that Champ Rugby journey. I’m eager to challenge myself, keep developing, and contribute to the team within such a driven environment”
