Cambridge Rugby Club is pleased to confirm that Head Coach Craig Newby will continue to lead the club while also taking on a new coaching role with Leicester Tigers as Forwards Skills Coach.
Craig’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his coaching ability and reflects the quality of the coaching environment and rugby programme that continues to be developed at Cambridge Rugby.
Craig will remain fully committed to his role as Head Coach, with preparations for the forthcoming National One season continuing as planned. His involvement within a Premiership coaching environment will provide an excellent opportunity to further develop his coaching knowledge and experience, bringing fresh ideas, insight and best practice back into our rugby programme.
As a club, we are proud to see one of our coaches recognised at the highest level of the game. We believe this appointment further strengthens Cambridge Rugby’s reputation as an ambitious club that develops talented coaches, alongside players, capable of contributing within the professional game. The arrangement will be kept under regular review to ensure it continues to support the ambitions and objectives of Cambridge Rugby.
