Congratulations to Caleb Reeves, Vice Captain of CRUFC Colts, who has been called up for U18s London and South East region assessment day, following up an outstanding year in which he has also been selected for the Eggchaser 7s Elite Men’s team headed for the Winter 7s in France.
The London South East squad is made up of players from Eastern Counties, Sussex, Surrey, Kent and Hampshire. Caleb’s selection for assessment underlines a bumper year for CRUFC Colts progression, with many players on development pathways including County, Eastern Regions and Saints programmes.
Caleb started his rugby at the age of 5 in Newmarket RUFC and joined Cambridge at 15, when he also joined Northampton Saints DPP / PDG programme. After trialling with the Egg Chasers 7s in March last year he was selected to join their u18 Academy, made his senior 7s debut a month later and was also selected to play in the Global Youth 7s in Auckland last month.

He’s an exciting young player with a lot of potential and a great future, and he’s a great advert for CRUFC’s work to help all of our players progress to the best level they can achieve.’
In the 15s game, as well as London and South East, Caleb will be busy this season playing for Cambridge’s Colts and 1923s, CRUFCs pathway squad for the professional game.
