Cambridge Rugby Club is delighted to announce the official opening of The Crofton Lounge, a new premium hospitality and meeting space at Ellgia Fields, created through a new three-season partnership with Crofton.
Designed to offer a more exclusive matchday experience, The Crofton Lounge provides an ideal VIP space for guests, sponsors and businesses, combining premium hospitality with a private setting from which to enjoy the action at Ellgia Fields.
Away from matchdays, the lounge also provides a versatile space for team meetings, presentations, networking and business gatherings, giving both the club and its partners a valuable facility that can be used throughout the week.
The lounge was officially opened ahead of Cambridge Rugby’s recent home fixture against Leeds Tykes, with representatives from Crofton and Cambridge Rugby in attendance.
Speaking about the partnership, Steven McAulay, COO of Crofton, said:
“This investment demonstrates our commitment to supporting local sport and the wider community, helping Cambridge Rugby Club create a memorable and welcoming experience for members, supporters, players, and guests who visit the lounge throughout the season.”
He added:
“We look forward to supporting Cambridge Rugby Club over the coming seasons and building a successful partnership both on and off the field.”
The opening was the culmination of work by Crofton, alongside the Cambridge Rugby team, to ensure the new lounge was ready in time for the first fixture.
Cambridge Rugby Club Commercial Director Louis Mann said:
“The Crofton Lounge is a fantastic addition to our hospitality offering and gives us another flexible space that can be used both on matchdays and throughout the week. We’re incredibly grateful to Crofton for their investment and support, and we’re looking forward to making the most of the space together over the next three seasons.”
The Crofton Lounge is now available for matchday hospitality, private meetings and business events, providing a premium environment for guests to experience Cambridge Rugby Club.
