Match Day Guide

Cambridge Rugby’s match days at Ellgia Fields are among the best experiences in club rugby in the UK.

If you’re a first-time visitor or returning each week, we’ve compiled a handy guide with the key information for planning your visit, and what you can expect at a typical match day.

Tickets

The easiest way to browse and purchase Cambridge Rugby match tickets is via the club website event listings page at https://cambridgerugby.co.uk/tickets/

We encourage digital ticketing, once you have purchased your ticket simply show the barcode/QR code to our ticketing staff on arrival and they will scan your ticket to allow access.

Tickets are for ground access, and whilst we do have a few seats available please be aware that Ellgia Fields is a predominantly standing sports venue.

For match-day hospitality you can enjoy a pre-match lunch in the Turnstone Suite, with access to the balcony for a raised view of the pitch and a private bar. For all hospitality enquires please email events@crufc.co.uk

Food & Drink

Ellgia Fields has multiple food & drink options to serve those rumbling tummies and for you to enjoy your day watching Cambridge Rugby, without the added stress of how to keep hydrated and fuelled.

Food Village

On arrival at Ellgia Fields you will find outside seating available in our pitch side marquees, which are situated next to multiple food offerings including (the supporters’ favourite) hog roasts, pizzas, taco vans and more. There is

also a pitch side bar serving a wide range of alcoholic, non alcoholic and hot drinks for you to enjoy your day.

Clubhouse

In the main clubhouse you will find two open bars downstairs, that can be accessed via the main reception or from the pitch side doors.

Additionally, you will also have access to our inside catering option that offers tea, coffee, burgers, chips, sausage rolls, various pastries and delicious homemade cakes!

Blood & Sand Marquee

At the far side of the main pitch, you will see our large Blood & Sand (red & yellow) marquee offering a second pitch side bar and plenty of seating options available, all with a great view of the pitch so you don’t have to miss a second of the action.

This is often a favourite spot for families, where children can play safely on the outside pitches or on the bouncy castles during the warmer months of the season.

The club shop is located in the corner of the Shaun Gadbsy Bar (downstairs main bar) and is open on match days and every Sunday when activity is taking place.
