The game takes place at The Bay on Friday 13th February and kicks off at 7.45pm

Here’s Craig:

“It was another one that got away on Saturday – we could have won against Caldy, we probably missed an opportunity and we’re kicking ourselves a bit. We got two points though – which means we’re two points closer to London Scottish who got nothing at Pirates. We’ve got to dust ourselves off – which we’ve got pretty good at – and work towards Nottingham away on Friday. We train at night – so it’ll be cool to play under lights this week. It’s a good club, with a vociferous crowd, and we’re looking forward to it. It gives us a different challenge around how to plan our week and we can’t afford not to put the work in.

“Hopefully we’ll get to Friday with everyone in a good place. I want us to go into the game really clear on how we can exploit some of Nottingham’s weaknesses – and how we can negate or take away some of their key and obvious threats. I’d love to be winning by 25 points with five minutes left so we can enjoy it. I’m a realist, though – and whilst that’s not necessarily going to happen, I want us to be in it for the full 80 minutes. It’s  a game we can win, we have the potential to win. It’s going to be tough and we’re looking forward to that challenge”.

Hooker Jack Doorey-Palmer returns to the front row – Gareth Baxter is fit again and will make his 198th appearance for Cambridge off the bench. Skipper Ben Adams is still out – Dan Eckersley will captain the side.
